Overturned Tractor Trailer Pins Driver, Halts I-95 Traffic In Howard County

A tractor-trailer crash on I-95 in Howard County tied up traffic for hours and left one injured near the Prince George's County line, officials said.

Three lanes were blocked southbound on the interstate near Exit 35 near Gorman Road, according to officials from the Maryland State Highway Administration, leaving just one lane for traffic to travel through in the area.

The crash was reported at approximately 4:15 a.m. on Wednesday, June 22 near the Howard County Rest Area.

During the crash, one truck tipped onto its side, pinning the driver, according to NBC Washington. He was reportedly taken to an area hospital for treatment and evaluation of undisclosed injuries.

The name of the driver injured or others involved has not been released by police.
